Residents take notice

Cielitos generator is having problems. Residents are reminded our usage should be minimal, lights, TV, battery charger etc. Disconnect from the generator when you are not here.
Immigration officers have been here for the second time in several weeks and advise they will be returning. They ask for everyone to be legal living or visiting Baja. A person will be in Baja generally in a tourist status (FMT) tourist visa, or resident status (FM3).

Will they be looking for those who lease lots to have FM3's, not just the tourist visa?

Cannot say what Immigration will ask for as that changes depending on the official you are speaking with. Showing a tourist visa may be fine with them, better than nothing, but you can“t go wrong by having a FM3. I have been told by an Immigration official that a tourist leaves no belongings in Baja upon departure.
